Fundraising information

CAUK fundraisers bake cakes, enter fun runs and marathons, shave their heads, climb up Britain’s mountains, fill collection tins and sky dive to raise funds. Please consider helping the charity by taking part in a sports challenge or by organising your own fundraising event. You can read about past CAUK fundraising success stories here and view a list of some sporting events and challenges you could consider. There are many other sporting events and challenges being held across Britain and Ireland throughout the year. There is also a list of some fundraising ideas you could organise yourself. There are lots of fun and creative things you can do to raise money for CAUK.

Should you be planning to enter a sports competition or organise your own event, creating an online sponsorship page means that you can raise your sponsorship money without having to deal with cash or cheques. Setting up a page using a charity donation website is a good and secure way to promote your fundraising event and get donations. You can set up your own page via the websites JustGiving or MyDonate. Consider promoting your page on facebook and Twitter and email or text the page to your family and friends and ask them to donate easily online. Charities also receive GiftAid through online donations from UK taxpayers.

JustGiving and MyDonate also have some good tips on how to maximise your fundraising.

You can also collect offline donations with our CAUK sponsor form. Please ensure that if a sponsor is eligible for Gift Aid they add their full address details.

If you are going to raise funds for CAUK, please let us know. We can send you some CAUK merchandise such as T-shirts, pens, badges and balloons.

There are a few things that we ask that you comply with and are aware of:

  • In any literature/advertising you produce, please say that you are fundraising ‘in aid of CAUK’, especially when using our logo (which you are welcome to use), and what you write should describe the aim(s) of what you are doing.
  • CAUK cannot accept liability for what you are doing, and if necessary you might need to consider taking out your own insurance. We can advise if you ask.

We are very grateful to all those who take part in fundraising events or challenges to raise funds for CAUK. Thank you for your support.
