We’re really excited to announce our 2019 International Cavernoma Alliance UK Forum to be held on Saturday 8th June with key note speeches from:

Professor Bertalanffy: Professor of Neurological Surgery and Director of the Center for Vascular Neurosurgery at the International Neuroscience Institute in Hannover, Germany

Dr Jonathan Berg: Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Clinical Genetics at Dundee University. NHS Research Scotland Lead for Genetics and Rare Diseases.

Dr Connie Lee: Founding President of Angioma Alliance in the US, licensed clinical psychologist and mother of a daughter with multiple cavernous angiomas.

Mr Greg James: Paediatric Neurosurgeon at Great Ormand Street Hospital and honorary Consultant Neurosurgeon at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery

As with previous forums we’re pleased to say this event will be free to people impacted by cavernoma, with thanks in part to a grant from Globals Make Some Noise.  We are actively fundraising for the event.  If you are interested in being a sponsor please do get in touch with our Chief Executive at

The forum will start at 9:30am and will be held at the De Vere Horsley Estate: 43 minutes from London Waterloo and a short drive from Junction 10 off the M25.  Through-out the day we will be holding a wide range of activities that we hope will be of interest to everyone; with more details to be published soon.

This year we have exclusive access of the De Vere Horsley Estate castle, with thanks to our Globals grant and a generous discount from the venue. The address is:

The castle is located south of London and is 43 minutes by train from London Waterloo, and a short drive from Junction 10 on the M25. We will be providing a shuttle service from the train station for those travelling by public transport.

In the coming months we will be posting more information about the informal meet-ups before and after the forum for those staying over-night.
