9:30 am - 1:30 pm
Priory Street Centre, York
The first time, we will be having an informal get-together on the Sunday morning after the Forum. This is being held in the Priory Street Centre in the city of York, less than 400 yards from the train station.
We have two rooms, and have arranged some activities but the hope is that you will be able to meet others and chat. The activities we have arranged include:
- A discussion on volunteering and CaverBuddies led by David Scott who co-ordinates these for CAUK.
- Therapeutic drumming. No experience required. A relaxing drumming session using African hand drums. An introduction to the therapeutic benefits of drumming led by Paul Bennett, Acting Senior Practioner, Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
- Simona Stankovska will be holding a workshop on Art and Drama. Simona was the brains behind the play that she and others put on in London last November
- A discussion about CAUK’s future, with ideas on how different people can get their voices and ideas heard including forming a CaverFamilies group and a spinal cavernoma group.
Also, you can explore York (all the sites are nearby). Free limited parking available.
