Our Medical Advisers and Patrons of CAUK

CAUK relies heavily on the advice and support of medical experts in cavernoma. Neil Kitchen MD FRCS(SN), consultant neurosurgeon, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Senior CAUK Medical Adviser and Rustam Al-Shahi Salman, Professor of Clinical Neurology and MRC Senior Clinical Fellow is Scientific and Medical Adviser to CAUK.

Mr Kitchen, Professor Salman and Sacha Bonsor became patrons in 2015.

Sacha Bonsor, journalist and author of a book, Dipped Into Oblivion, which chronicles her experience of having a brain haemorrhage and subsequent surgery. She lives in London with her husband and three step children.
